Yes you have read the title right all the parts I have left will go for £2

To say thank you to the club I am putting all the parts into a mystery box which one lucky club member will win for £2

So it will work like this. I will be running my new car in Class 3 of the Irish Drag Championship on Sun 6th June and whichever member guesses closest to my fastest time of the day will win the box.

To enter all you have to do is send £2 as a gift to the clubs paypal account at [email protected] and then enter your guess in the list below, remember to include you forum user name with your payment otherwise your guess may not be verified.

To give you an idea of where to guess I’ll give you the spec of the car.

It’s a Mazda MX5 1.6 with the following extras.

Greddy turbo kit with a td04 19T turbo and custom down pipe decatted and a 2.5" straight through exhaust.
Pace charge cooler
550cc RC injectors
Duel feed fuel rail
Aeromotive FPR
Vipec ECU using map sensor
Gizzmo boost controler set to 14psi/1bar
HKS cams
Toyo R888 tyrs

I’m not going to give you the bhp of the car but think of it this way it’s approx half the engine size and weight of a GTO with the same mods that most of the high powered GTO’s are running.

The rules.

  1. It’s a mystery box don’t be asking whats in it.
  2. The closest guess wins it in the event of a tie the person who’s guess is under the time will win.
  3. If 2 people guess the same the 1st on the list wins
  4. All times guessed should be to 2 decimal places ie 00.00
  5. All guesses must be placed by 1200hrs on the 6th of June.
  6. The winning time will be posted on here and also on the championship website and the winner notified asap.
  7. You can have as many guesses as you like as long as you pay £2 each.

This is my way of giving something back to the club I am getting nothing out of it and am covering the cost of the delivery myself.

This is on Sunday coming so anyone who wants to get a guess in should do so sooner rather than later. I thought there would have been a better response than this.

Remember all funds are going direct to the club and at £2 it’s not going to break the bank so have a go the more that enter the more fun it will be.

To maybe get a few more of you interested I’ll list some of the parts I have left that I can think of the top of my head.

crank pulley, power steering pump, altenator, full set of coil packs, pair of bonnet struts, pair of wing mirrors and have some of the ecu’s left. At a guess theres over £500 of parts there at new prices so someone will get a real bargin and thats not including the other bits that are here and I can’t think of right now.

OK guys this didn’t take much working out I had a bit of a bad day yesterday only got 1 run on a wet track. I tried starting in 2nd gear to minimise wheel spin and still ended up spinning for the 1st 100m. On the 2nd run I didn’t get off the line after the diff decided it had, had enough.

So the winner is Boo with his guess of 12.97 as he was closest to the rather embarrasing 17.646 tho even if everything had went to plan I would not have been under 13s anyway so he would have still been the winner.

Boo can you PM me your address and I’ll get the box sent off to you sometime this week.
