Hiya Roger

You say you have a small business, is it related to the Motor Trade in any way :?:

If your company works within this field i.e. Mechanics, Vehicle Sales, MOTs, Vehicle Valeting etc. etc., then you should easily be able to arrange Motor Trade Insurance.

As many members are aware, I’m in the Motor trade myself (working from home) and have a Motor Trade policy, with a company called TRADEX DIRECT, for both myself and Er’ Indoors as an additional Driver.

Any vehicle I own is automtically insured, although I have to notify them of any cars, trucks etc which I keep for my own personal use. I have £1,000,000 worth of Indemnity and demonstration cover which allows any customers to test drive and it costs me just over a grand a year - not bad since at present I’ve got 9 motors covered!

The policy is straight forward to arrange with them although I have heard that in some cases they have asked for proof of motor trade entitlement.

you can find a number of Insurance Companies who issue Motor Trade policies in Autotrader 9if you havent already sussed that one out)

Good Luck in the ‘minefield’ m8

regards
