Well pleased :D

I am looking for my 1st GTO having owned a mint FTO for the last year (which has now gone to a new home) and was pleasantly surprised with my insurance quote.
I am 41 and had a company car for 5 years prior to having the FTO, so I’ve only had 1 year’s insurance on my own and the car will be parked on my drive.
As I haven’t found my car yet I got a quote on a 92 TT with Induction kit and cat 1 alarm/imob.

I have just tried Sky Insurance after reading threads on here and they were £645 fully comp.

I am currently with Lifesure (0870 3661235) who have quoted me …£557 fully comp!!

Well pleased with that, just need to find my car now.

just make sure u state if its uk or an import. u will be shocked at the difference it makes with some companies!

ian

The quote was for an import for sure.

Still pleased…
I ended up buying lomoto’s 95 Mk 2 TT (MR model) so I spent a little more than I was originally thinking and the insurance was still only £626 fully comp with protected no claims and with all mods declared.
This is with Lifesure, (although they did start at £801 until I had a ring around).

Something I did find odd though, was that when I looked at 2 UK 3000GT cars (one M plate and one P plate), I was quoted more money from all the insurance companies I rang, which I thought strange. :?
It was actually cheaper for me to insure an import

Still, I’m more than happy with my new pride and joy

older people tend to get insurance cheaper on imports as they have a wider choice of where to get quotes - those under 25 struggle with imports, but can get it cheap for UK cars.

it is strange, its a ■■■■■■ lottery!
