Started off with the water flooding the kitchen a while ago. Hopefully an insurance job for new ceiling and floor. (Still waiting the quote) Thought I might as as well renew the whole kitchen, so booked a week off work and bought all the units to install myself.
The job is going like crap. The house is a total bomb site. MOT on the car is due (that I have not sorted yet) Letter from my insurance just arrived for best bit of £500 for the GT. Just had to fork out for a pair of tyres last week too.
Ontop of that one of our ratties has got problems. Took her in as an emergency appointment yesterday. She’s getting worse and it’s not fair to let her go on, so it is looking like we will have to do the deed tomorrow. Really bending that Visa this month.
Dad has recently had a detached retina, so he can’t do much and we are all obviously worried about him.
It’s all sort of come to a head tonight, so Lel and I have both been a bit upset. Sometimes life seems like a bag of pooh. Anyways. Sat here getting pissed (like that will help)
At least no one has died, so we ain’t got any worries really. Looking forward to getting out of this place and attending the GTO BBQ on Saturday.
Hope that tomorrow isnt too much stress Dee, if ratty is suffering mate do the best deal, dont let her suffer. I know its hard, we have the day looming regarding our Casper.
I know the answer to all your problems… Take the GTO out for a nice good blatt around the local A roads, Turn that stereo up to one notch below max open the window and enjoy
Life is always sent to try us, this i know because there is many an occasion i have been delt lemons… Now when i get lemons all i do is shout for the Tequila.
Hang in there guys, Its ment to be 30 degrees for our BBQ
Car’s booked in for MOT on Saturday. Dad had checkup on his eye today and is doing well. Rattie is out of her misery, upsetting digging her grave in the back garden though.
Back doing the kitchen again tomorrow.
BTW. I did go out for a spin in the GT on my own. Good music on the stereo and both windows open to get some breeze in. It was good!
So sorry to hear about rattie , having met her and seen her little special character (albeit under the influence ), albeit unrecognised by most people as a pet we know how much she meant to you both and Steve and can appreciate your loss, nothing can make you feel any better at this point in time, but you gave her a great life and like you say she isn’t suffering any more.
Try and keep your chins up, and think of the good times you had with her.
If you fancy a chat give us a bell, we’re here for you.
