Hi All,
Yesterday, 05/03/2010, I checked my personal email account as per usual to find an email from gtouk saying that I have received a new personal message. No problem so far.
On logging in to the site, for the first time in a good couple of months, I was greeted by an inbox message from a member with user name WillieThompson. I have never heard of this person but the message said that spam had been detected as being sent from my computer and that I should follow the enclosed link to scan my computer and protect its system otherwise my membership would be terminated.
I did not follow the link due to this message raising alot of suspicion.
I logged out and decided that today I would create this post and copy and paste the message received, except that when I logged back in today the message had disappeared???
Can anyone shed some light onto this matter?
It is quite concerning to think about what could have happened if I had followed the link.
Has anyone else received this message?
