You’re all familiar with the phrase “less is more” aren’t you?
Well, on that basis, I think my car’s the best and that I should get some sort of prize for today’s results
Well on that basis Doc i think i should get a prize as ben wouldnt run mine!
Running a just a bit lean with a dead 02 sensor and some sort of fuel restriction/boost leak, Ben decided it was much safer not to run mine.
Big thanks to Ben for diagnosing more problems tho. That guy doesnt miss anything! Honestly i do appreciate it ben. I like to know when i have problems asap so they can be sorted. maybe i should come over weekly for a checkup
Great day out and thanks to paul for organising it. \congrats to your big power run too! (Shame about the oil leak but bet it was worth it )
Sorry to hear you’ve got problems mate but on the upside at least you know exactly what is wrong and have had it diagnosed by someone who knows what they’re talking about as opposed to some gobs**te spanner monkey who’s best guess would probably end up costing you a fortune in unnecessary parts and still not solve anything. Well worth the trip just to get Ben to look over your car so don’t see it as a waste of time. Far from it. There’s always next time anyway mate
Driver Rob …
As for the scores on the doors - I’m sorry but I really don’t see what there is to be gained from that at all
Well done to Ben, for his magic work on your cars.
paul too did a great good in organising it, I would have loved to have been there with you guys, but i,m waiting on some upgrads to arrive & be fitted.
I had boost control issues as I was trying to run a boost solenoid from the sub injector control on the emanage. Started on wastegate which was 8psi and 310 bhp and stopped at 17psi which was a healthy 450bhp.
There’s more to come with some proper boost control!
Not such great numbers for me unfortunately. Had a few problems on the day starting with a hole (approx finger tip size!) in one of my flexi pipes between the rear turbo and the fmic. Once this was fixed the next runs produced these figures.
The AFR was lean to say the least but it still had a zero knock count.
What was happening was the fuel pressure was climbing to 4.8 BAR in line with the boost climbing to 1.8 BAR (circa 4k rpm), hence the good torque figure but the fuel pressure rapidly fell off to as low as 3.2 BAR rather than the 4.5 BAR it should have. I believe this explains somewhat, why the BHP stopped climbing and looks quite flat from 4250 rpm. Also, it is not usual to see an erratic boost curve on my car, and that ‘trough’ in the AFR is not normally anywhere near as pronounced.
The torque, after fixing the boost leak, was EXACTLY what I predicted (555 ft Lbs, we had a little side bet with Ben), however, I feel there is some BHP missing as I would normally see peak BHP around 5800 rpm.
Diagnosis begins this week, first with the FPR, then we’ll look at the pumps, line, filter and maybe even injectors. A bit stumped at the moment, but I’m sure we’ll sort it.
Not a great day for me either, I just noticed that my final figures are worse than last time when I was blowing out my sparks even though the car is running a whole lot smoother.
At the end of the day though, I do not recomend 3sx Executioners, they are not what they make them out to be
