have a good day all
kick some ass -then get home for the match
all the best mike
I’m really looking forward to this. Spent today finishing off the nitrous install, got the boot all looking swett, cleaned up in the engine bay, washed and polished the motor and gave the interior a good clean up. Needless to say I’m knackered!!!
I’m confident of 14s tomorrow, and I may even manage a 13 second quarter if things work out well. It’s probably running about 300BHP now, and certainly feels like a boost controlled TT .
Steve
That’ll make it quicker than your TT ever was
Mark
Shame i can’t make this event as it sounds like it will be a good day out.
Take loads of photo’s

Oi, that was a bit below the belt!!! Now, if you had said “that’ll make it quicker than your TT has been for the last 2 years”, then that would be fine :P.
Steve 8)
PS, don’t forget to write your mod list tonight, or you’ll be spending ages writing it out by hand tomorrow (except for me, as my list is quite small)!!!
GOOD LUCK GUYS, GET SOME GOOD NUMBERS !!
Well ive been back an hour, was an excellent day and a few good times were posted.
we had two breakages, Mark Beales did his drivetrain, and Marc Sasson did his bottom end.
Not sure on the times for others, but i did the following:
0-60 5.414
1/4 14.1
TV 144.?mph
Not too bad for a standard car and a driver thats never done any track sprints before!
Plenty of pictures will be posted!
and i think we did all the 300ZX boys 8)
weather was great and Im burnt to a crisp!
roll on the next one!
Hey guys,
Chunk from the 300zx club here (the fat lad in the wheelchair who had the slowest Z of the day but did the best doughnuts) LMAO!
Had a good laugh today chaps, shame none of our guys managed any real decent launches but hey, its all for fun
Good to see the GTO’s do some great 0-60 times etc, 4wd does have its benefits (but not in the drifting dept)
Just wanted to say thanks for a good day and banter and i hope the 2 GTO’s that broke arnt too bad.
All the very best
Rich
I lost drive to the rear wheels on my first launch  I’ve either split the transfer box (oil coming out of it :? ) or broken the output shaft Either way I have a spare one of each so it’ll be up and running again on Saturday

But it was a good day all in all, even with breaking my car I still enjoy the day we should have a good few pictures in the magazine
You do have a way with words chunk
It made the day a bit more interesting having another car there so we could see how you guys where doing also
Mark
Yep it was excellent.
Great people from our club and the 300Zx club.
Big thanks to the J Tuner team for the invite and for putting on a spread of food!
As for donuts, our Homer tried to get some in for us GTO owner after such a splendid show from the Z’s, sadly NA GTO’s don’t do donunts :o
But to even the score up I took out the Merc and did a few one handed on the spot donuts!
Also, appologies to J@mes for nearly snappng his spine and shoulder when I tested the Merc brakes at 140 mph! If only GTO’s stopped so well!
My thoughts are with the two Mark/Marc’s who have joined the Mark GTO casualty list. Maybe we should change our names!
Mark
Top class day - many thanks to Jtuner for all the effort they put to enable us to have big fun.
Some excellent displays of doughnut abuse from the 300ZX crowd and top marks to Steve for his attempts.
My best times for the day:-
0-60: 4.077 secs
0-100: 9.411
1/4 mile: 12.381 @120.8 (presume this counts as a valid 1/4?)
Vmax: 158.2 mph
I got a bit flustered and left my front aero active and forgot my timing control.
It was great fun driving in formation for the crazy photographer who was hanging out of the boot of the car with Mark B about two foot behind.
Will post some pics up soon.
Cheers
James
when will it be in the mag :?: , sounds like a good day 8)
Wow what a great day!! big thanks to Bryn and and the Jtuner team who did an excellent job putting this day together which in my opinion was one of the best organised events I’ve been to, “WELL DONE” lads
Chunk, thanks for taking the time to come over and say hi, it was good to meet you and a few others from the Z club today!!.. that car of yours sounds like its gonna be a monster!! Best of luck with it and hope it delivers the results you deserve!
What a great bunch of people we have in our club, made me proud to be part of this forum, there’s just no substitute for meeting people face to face…anyway the only thing that could of improved the day for me would of been to have run myself but I was on holiday at the time when Bryn came on and invited us, oh well maybe next time
Martyn
Just got back myself, I was a bit disappointed with my times, but had a great day. The J-tuner lads were top guys, and the boys from the Z club were very friendly. 8)
Pity that the Marx Bros.() had a bit of bad luck, as I was looking forward to see what those two cars would do. As I said, my times were very poor, I was expecting at least a second quicker to 60, and a second and a half better for the 1/4 mile.
Oh well, in my defence I will say that I ran it ABSOLUTELY as it runs on the road, I even had my flask and sandwiches on board! Good fun watching the Lambo, Porker and the Bently giving it lots!!!
I’ll post up some pics tomorrow, as I’m knackered now.
Yeh it was nice to have another club there, gives us a chance to see what you are up to and how you go!
The event was well organised by the JTuner team, and as usual it was nice to see people again.
The lambo, porkers and vettes were nice, but the ENZO looked absolutely stunning!
Oh yeh…I forgot about that Red Thing!!!
well done lads
hope its nothing serious mark’s
some good time’s tho
mike
What a pleasure and thanx Roadkill for the invite. Great seeing the lads again, and to listen in on ideas and info. I joined the club for this, best money spent.
Hope all goes well with rebuilds! But heads up high you went for it.
Team work was given by all.
Lads from Z,s great to see you there, nice cars and thanx fo entertainment.
That was a brilliant day out, a huge thankyou to jtuner for their efforts in putting these events on. I’d also like to say a big thankyou to the guys doing the timing gear, as they kindly seperated my standard run from my nitrous runs to give me some comparisons!

As mentioned, we did try a few donuts in the NA, but it wasn’t having it. Apparently you need power, less weight and/or RWD .
