Hope the two Marks got home safely and wish both your cars speedy recovery’s! well I know Mr Beales car wont be off the road to long  but also the supercharged beast should come back stronger than it was before, keep at it guys!!

Thanks Steve for putting the times up, Oh and what a great 0-60 you had with the NOS

Martyn

[quote]Top class day - many thanks to Jtuner for all the effort they put to enable us to have big fun.

Some excellent displays of doughnut abuse from the 300ZX crowd and top marks to Steve for his attempts.

My best times for the day:-
0-60: 4.077 secs
0-100: 9.411
1/4 mile: 12.381 @120.8 (presume this counts as a valid 1/4?)
Vmax: 158.2 mph

I got a bit flustered and left my front aero active and forgot my timing control.
Impressive ET buddy, you are so close to the 11’s 8)
I will be coming back over for the rematch soon.
Hope to be rebuiling next week or two
Let me know if their is anything on in July

It was great fun driving in formation for the crazy photographer who was hanging out of the boot of the car with Mark B about two foot behind.

Will post some pics up soon.

Cheers

Well done guys for going up there and having a go!

Some great times there too!

For Marc and Mark, hope you can get sorted out asap!

Cheers,

Ben.

I’d just like to say thanks to Bryn and the rest of the team at J-Tuner for a fantastic day at Bruntingthorpe.

Many Thanks.
Marty
Ps. I’ll post up a proper post later

Hi guys,

Sorry if I didn’t get to say cheers to each of you personally, but Pikey Boy Recovery was called into service… Unfortunately. Hope both you guys get your cars back together easily.

It was a great day, and you lot helped make it so, many thanks for that and the weather was a bonus as well. So hope there’s not too much sunburn hanging around.

The thrash will be coming out in two months, the 300 boys are going in first as they slipped me a burger with extra relish… Only joking, Simon the photographer is getting the images in double quick as Dave who did you guys is off to California for a couple of weeks and won’t have time to master them before he goes.

It was a pleasure meeting you all, and I’m sure we’ll catch up somewhere else again.

Cheers, Bryn

Had a great day, and thanks to Bryn and the JTuner guys for giving us the opportunity

JC

As for msassoon - maybe this should be looked at as an oppurtunity?

If he’s going to keep with the SC route then a replacement N/A engine is pretty cheap (**IMO **only … its not worth rebuilding them when they are so cheap 2nd hand).

Maybe look for a 3.5L Shogon/Pajero engine?

Just random thoughts Iv had today…

As Mark B car broke on the first run, and we had two cars in reserve why didn’t one of the reserve cars take his place. The decision was hard enough to make by leaving out two good guys who I would love to have included so why didn’t one of them get the chance to run? Were they not allowed?

Brendan

Bren,

The reserves were for taking the place of people who had to drop out at the last minute I thought? Once the 8 cars got through the Bruntingthorpe gates, they were supposedly (Mr Flook!), the only GTOs allowed in the pit area. They were then signed up, indemnities waived and static photos taken. After all this, they were then kitted with satellite gear, and allowed to go for their 4 runs, closely followed by more static shots and then a bunch of group and then action shots at the end of the day.

I guess it’s the same as TOTB Bren, reserves are there to fill places upto the last minute - on the day of the event, if you break on the first run it’s tough.

Steve

Did any reserves actually turn up? can’t think of any …anyway there’s a couple of vids in the lounge to look at and some more on the way

cheers Martyn

Once again, big thanks to Bryn and the J-Tuner Team.
Looking forward to seeing the pics

Big Thanks to Clint(Damagedron) who came over to my place on Weds and prepped the cars bodywork for me.
Did an amazing job, and I hope it looks as good in the pics 8)

Excellent day I thought, and I finally destroyed my clutch, so it’s GOT to come out

Very pleased with the time’s and especially with the terminal speed on the 1/4…109mph

We must try and see about booking another GTO trash there for a load of us…it’s a fantastic place, and you can really hammer you car about in no fear of destroying it

a few of us discussed it - it would be possible if we could get more members involved, but its hard enough getting people to the AGM and the major shows!

we could have the whole place to ourselves for £5k, and the timing equipment for sub-£500.
