As i have moved to the greener side of the world i wondered if there would be any interest in a Kent meet ? I have had a look and cant see any exiting organiser’s etc for this side of the world apart from the Essex meet.
Sooo… Is anyone up for a meet ? Sat’s or Sunday’s best ? Roughly where in the world of Kent would be a good idea …Obviously i know some cracking places around my neck of the wood (TN30 6DZ) but don’t expect every one to drive to me. I am more than happy to drive to a further location if suggested.
its been mentioned a number of times for a kent meet but never get a good responce on who whants to organise it and a location… not to sure how many are from kent on this site but most of us just wait for the essex meet most months but if you are up for a meet or Run then im all for it.

Hiya Sonic,
I went to the Essex meet once too… however its time, day and location all don’t really suit my lifestyle and prob some others too. Mondays i get home at 5.45, guzzle my dinner and set off at 6pm to take the boys to drum and guitar lessons. I then get back home at 10pm.It is just too much to do the same on the Tuesday too. The Essex meet is only 60 odd miles form me but takes 1.5 hours each way from here…So i don’t knock the Essex meet and definitely don’t intend on competing with it, just thought it might be an idea to have a jolly on a w/end bit closer to home
Oh and yes, there are some roads round here that allow you to see well into treble figures :lol:
Id like a kent meet but it was tried before and i think one or two meets happend and then it died. Id say you would get a better turn out on a week night because for alot of people the weekend is set aside for boring stuff like shopping or spending time with kids :lol:
If its any help, a friend is in talks with Brands Hatch to get a jap car night set up down there starting in the new year, once a month- there is already a good german meet once a month down there so maybe this jap night would be a good place for the kent lot to meet up?
I think they are talking about people in big power supras and skylines driving like pricks on the main road outside like they do at the ace cafe meets, there is always some idiot with too much of daddys money doing burnouts at the ace meets :lol:
If they do it at they brands meet i’ll video it and give it to the old bill, that or throw hot coffee through the drivers window that always happens to be open :twisted:
tenterden to ashford (nice 90degree bends on way) takes 15 min max
ashford to maidstone = 16miles M20 so about 10 min

Agreed it is a lovely road, however i go from Tenterden towards Leeds and then M20. It take 30 min for that bit at moderate speed Then over to the tunnel and join the lovely traffic etc etc… took me just under 1.5 hours last time… any ways still much longer than i would like immediately after getting home from work 8)
There used to be a Kent meet, at Mango Joes in Medway on Sundays. It was organized by Vaughn.
It died a death when Mango Joes’ manager ran off with the takings which forced the owner to sell it to someone that wouldn’t open it on Sundays. Vaughn looked for a new location, then blew his car up and flogged it in bits, never to be seen again.

As it looks like the numbers may exceed 2 cars i will look into a nice location mid month.
Any day suit people best… w/ends ? mid week ? Sat…or Sun ?
