The pub were dan, karim and myself met up with everyone for the kent pistonheads run had a big car park and was in west kingsdown but i cant remember the name of it :oops:

Ok heres a suggestion for now,

There is a cracking old style pub in a lovely little village called Smarden. There are a few classic car meet’s that frequent the place too. If people are happy with Location i will approach the owners and set about organising this.

My suggestion would be to meet somewhere like the maidstone services at junction 8 of the M20. We could then drive in convoy to the pub… ( some awesome roads long the way :wink: ). have a few bevvies and poss some grub and have a natter about all sorts. If it is easier for some or you are not keen on the convoy idea, You could meet us up at the pub.

I was thinking of doing this on Sunday 14th december meeting at the services at 12.30 for 1pm and then heading off to the pub.

I did see that but didn’t think it would make too much difference as most people going wouldn’t be coming down to Kent anyways…

Will see what response is to suggested date… may have to move it anyways.

I do know several routes but was thinking the leeds/headcorn one as there are a few bends and some great straight etc and not too many bump country roads…Which other way you thinking ?

juntion 8 down a20 to chring through pluckley then stright to the bell from thier prob take 20 min from juntion8 (even quicker if no cars in front of us) the road was relayed last year and alothough a back road it is all 2 lanes wide and nice few corners and humpback bridges on way :slight_smile: and its 2 roads all the way from m20 so you wont get lost.

pls note on the map the pub is up the road by 200 yards from where its actally saying it is. you can see also its a pee shingle drive and carpark.

also can we make the meet at 1 pm not 12.30 as i wont get home from footbal untill 12.30 :slight_smile: ty

I agree about A20 through Pluckley etc…much more scenic route. We shall go that way.

As for meeting time…start gathering around 12.30 to leave at 1pm, I will give you my mobile number and you can ring me if you slightly late so we can wait a few more minutes…

I might make this and if so will bring along at least one of the girlies :slight_smile: Do I have to wash the car first though cause it’s still got the dust the CSI used for finger printing it all over it not to mention the horse p*o inside oops…

Looking forwards to seing another GTO at the meet. Will have a chat to pub owner this w/end and maybe secure a few tables etc for us. Will start a list of people attending to get an idea of numbers…

as for washing car first… just ask Bob Jeary what mine looks like at the mo :shock: :shock:

I lived in Copers Cope Road for 2 years. Did you have a black GTO and live near Bromley ave or Farnaby road.somewhere around there

If that was you… you are the reason i drive a GTO today 8)

Fell in love with that car after driving past it every day for a year or two.

If i’m not working i’m up for it as well.

Managed to get to the Essex meet in a response car a couple of times, but don’t think i can pull it off taking it all the way to Kent, gonna have to work really hard then to reach our 8 minute response time :smiley:

I see Rob’s going, if there are any others from this area going, perhaps we can arrange a “convey” that way ?
