think mines 3-4 months but iv changed address so if i do get 1 sent can you pm me 1st so i can tell new address 
Yes, I can see how changing your address could delay things. Actually you could beat that poor fellows two year record. Why? Well he has waited that long and he hasn’t moved so you could have inadvertantly caused administrative difficulties that could make you the out and out winner! :praise:
Wind your neck in…you only get a membership pack when you become a member. You can register for the site but not be a member. This is the case for Sat - he JOINED the SITE in 2005 but was not a paid member for 2 years. I don’t see you volunteering to sort the packs out…:roll:
If it was my decision alone i would do away with the membership packs or just hand them out at meets such as the A.G.M. & J.A.E. This would eradicate constant whinging from people who see the membership pack as being more important than membership itself.
We constantly have people moaning about one thing or another related to the membership process yet every year we ask for volunteers and no-one wants to take the responsibility because they know how much private time it takes up. All this stuff, as with any club, is done voluntarily without any incentive other than to help others. What do the people get for this role, grief from people who struggle to wipe their own arse without a computer generated diagram or a ‘click here’ box.

So why is one offered when it causes all this grief for the administrators? Why not just chuck out a monthly newsletter instead?
As a response to the rather sarcastic member who asked me why I don’t offer to help with the membership packs. it is quite simply because I did not know I could, if you don’t tells us we can’t help!
If there was a “Do your bit” or “Support Your Club” bit on the site where you could volunteer to do things to ease the administration that could help. I certainly have no problem with getting my hands dirty to help the club, after all all the best advice and tips I have ever had regarding my car come from here and I am proud to be a member, so if we can help make sure we know.
Of course the only problem with that approach is how do you differentiate the idiots and timewasters from genuine people? After all if your going to share the load it has to be with people you can relay upon and trust…
Anyone got any ideas how to ensure this???
Personally speaking I am not really bothered when I get my membership pack I was just being humourous with the other member, so apologies for any offence caused :oops:
I have seen quite a few GTOs recently but I have no idea if they are members is there an official car sticker to advertise the club??
To be honest I don’t think its the membership pack itself that people are really bothered about, its more the fact that they have been promised something and that promise has not been upheld thus far.
If you didn’t offer a membership pack I don’t think anyone would really be fussed, but the fact is that it has been offered as part of the membership and therefore it should be provided.

I would have to say it came across alot more like a dig at those who have been doing it. Humour can be very hard to put across on here.

Hello I wonder if you can help? I filled in a form and sent it off with a cheque in July the cheque was cashed on the 12th August. I can not remember what I put on the form as user name etc. The registation of the car I bought was H365KDB. I have now changed the registration to H6YDE. Ihave recently logged on as user name martin hyde as I still have not received anything from the club please help?

The membership packs are on hold at present. The chap who was dealing with this [nemesis] has resigned from the position and the chap who is taking over [Ian. T] hasn’t yet recieved all the pack info and details of who and where to send them.
Hopefully when this has been sorted we shall get back on track and send them out to everyone who is still waiting.
On behalf of the Committee i apologise for this ongoing hitch.
All we’ll need when this has happened of course is a postal system which has working employees.

Mark, why don’t we start a new thread where we can just say we haven’t got it and then IanT can easily access the membership database and get the addresses etc?
