New kid on the block

You will indeed! Thanks @Beanus

Well done Max, looking at those pics, in that colour it sure looks different and I mean that as a complement

Thanks Steve that means a lot. I am over the moon with it. I saw 4 of them in my quest and this was by a very long way the best. The body work is immaculate the pictures really don’t do it justice. And it is running as sweet as a nut!

It looks cool, nice one and a good amount of power.

Hi,

Great to see you got a 3000gt it looks great. Really nice colour. I dont know if your about this weekend, maybe Sunday, cant remember where your based, but we are probably having a meet Sunday if you want to come down and show it off. It will be around the Chippenham area (5 mins off the m4, junction 17).

If not would really like to see it in the future

I would also like to have chat to you on the weekend about your thoughts on the vipec (or at some point, I also have some views on this) etc.

Neil.

Thanks @NAS it certainly has some go!! the way it goes from 30-100 joining a dual carriageway is just naughty. The long gearing is something I need to get used to. It accelerates hard but the revs don’t build as quickly as I expect them too. Not necessarily a problem. Just need to get used to it. Its amazing how many comments I have had already. She really is a beaut

You have a great setup and some good power there, take your time with upgrades it can be costly. There is no issue with our traders, and you will be great hands with Ben (eurospec) with any tuning.

Neil.

Yeah I know Ben and I know his work is excellent. A friend of mine used to work for him and I worked with Romain very briefly at another place (Honda specialist :open_mouth:)
My plan is to take it easy on her until the rolling road day where I can get a good check done on the map and know shes running nicely.

Hi all

So for xmas my girlfriend very thoughtfully bought me a photoshoot for my beloved 3000GT. Well actually she bought it for the Silvia and was quietly crapping herself when I sold her.
But anyway the plan was to take her to a local detailing specialist and get her looking spanking but due to a friend being taken into hospital I was left short on time and ended up at a small car wash that is a good job of cleaning but used some kind of liquid wax which has left some of the areas of the car looking a bit swirly. But anyway the scene was set, I managed to awaken myself at 5am on a Sunday morning so from here on I will shut up and let the pictures do the talking.

Edit: For those of you who want to know those streaks of light were done by setting a very long exposure in pitch darkness and walking around with a light to light the area’s he wanted to capture and then waiting for a car to drive past behind! Brilliant technique with great results!

Hi,

Those are great photos, make sure you enter them for the next car of the month. That car is a good find, you must be really happy with your car, great looks and nice performance.

Cheers,
Neil.

I will do Neil. The photographer wants to go back and reshoot some of them as it was quite foggy and he isn’t happy with the lighting. And I am over the moon with the car. Love her to bits!

Looks stunning, and what a great idea for a present, us ladies are sooo thoughtful

As Neil says don’t forget to enter Car of The Month.

Thanks Tracie
To be honest even Nat admits it was the most thoughtful thing she has done! haha. She certainly won some girlfriend points for that one!
Where do I find the Car of the Month section?

great pics. might just be me but in image 4 it looks a bit like your car got buffeted by the other car going past and raised its eyebrows in surprise……

It’s here in the General Section
http://forum.gto.club/t/car-of-the-month-january-2015/65955?u=tracie

If you can’t access that without Full Membership - which I guess you can’t if you haven’t seen it, we can get that sorted for you first, and then you’ll have all December to get your pics in.

Not sure what went wrong with your ‘checkout’ though as we had a new member this morning, paid membership yesterday and it all went through OK.

Someone with more techie knowledge will sort it I’m sure, I think @NAS is away, and as @DeanMarkTaylor works through the night looking after/upgrading our forum when we are all asleep he might be around soon after a bit of shut eye

Tracie

Thanks for the link Tracie but I can’t access it! Dean has commented on the post about membership payment and is looking into it now so I will get my membership paid asap! lol

Some more pics for you all:
