Looking to sort out something in the area would be interested in peoples opinions of suitable venues ideas, and also who’d be interested. if theres enough interest will hopefully become a regular thing.

Ok confirmed the date and some details with the manager today. The first meet will be on Sunday the 6th of March. Depending on numbers we will either be in the normal eating area or he is willing to let us use the function room so we can all be sat together for food(which i think would be the better idea personally). I will be aiming to be there around 1530 with a view to start sitting for food anytime between 1600-1630. The postcode again for the venue is IP24 2JE. Can we put a list together of those attending so i can let them know on numbers. Hope to see as many faces as possible.

Good luck rossi, I tried to do the same thing a few years ago. Put in a bit of leg work finding suitable venues etc. finally after consulting with a few local-ish members a meet was arranged
All of three cars turned up two of which was mine and my mate Johns lol
Still it would be pretty cool if you could drum up some local interest.
Thats not good mate!! Would be good to have something around here. I was seriously considering tonights one Rob. Still thinking about it only the two hour drive on a school night is slightly daunting! lol
I had the same when i started the Kent meet up again, it was a meet the never really got off the ground before. First meet we have about 10 GTO’s turn up and generally we have between 15-30 people turn up. Some meets are busier than others but its a great social side of things and worth the effort.
Well pinching ideas from other meet posts, somewhere that we can come to an arrangement with to have if possible segretated parking. Somewhere easily accessible location wise and also for those with lowered cars. With good food at reasonable prices. And ofcourse as central as possible for everyone involved.
Ok narrowing down the area, Thetford seems pretty central, so im going to start trawling around that way see if theres anything suitable. I’ll keep you posted
Hi rossi, check out the white lodge, london road, attleborough norfolk NR17 1AY. as that is not far from thetford, I have been there a couple of times as the people who have got it are friends of ours, that said they have a big car park really good food & they like car club events
Ok first suggestion is looking promising. The Deers Leap in Thetford http://www.thedeersleap.co.uk/site_thetford.html spent the morning chatting with the manager and hes happy to accomodate and willing to seperate his two car parks with one for us to use. The venue is nice, the food looks good and the beers nice too. The roads in are good condition with no speed bumps for those with lowered cars. Nice big garden and kids play area if anyone was thinking of bringing the little ones. Theres alot of pics on the website. also for those into taking there cars on the track i’m in talks hoping to come to an agreement with Snetterton track. They offer a whole day track use for £119 but hoping to work something out for maybe 3 hours there then plod along to the pub afterwards but think that would be best in the warmer/drier weather. I welcome feedback guys as this is for you.
