Anybody else experiencing problems when trying to get on site?
Forum was down most of yesterday, first a 500 error, meaning the whole site was down completely, then the forum after that.
Cheers Ian
15:45 Server started passing out PHP scripts as text files, rather than executing them.
15:54 I submitted a support ticket to the ISP
16:40 I forced a forum down page, as it didn’t look like they were going to fix it fast.
18:31 Got a reply from ISP
22:36 PHP started working again
22:44 PHP stopped working again
22:46 PHP started working again
22:50* I removed the forum down page.
*Approx
Hope that tells you what went on
Mark
And many thanks to you as well Mark

Basically I cant get to the main page.

HAs the ISP upgraded to a different version of PHP or something? It’s like the server isnt recognising php extensions correctly?
it’s weird, as I can access the main page again now :S
Paul.
If your not getting PHP executing on the server - how are you posting here?
Tell me what you are doing exactly so I can replicate it, as I can’t fix something if I can’t see how it is broken.
Mark
Paul/Mark
The only way i can get on the site is by “Googling” GTOUK which let’s me onto the homepage and then i can log-on
My desk top item only opens up a file box

What URL you going to when you get the filebox?
Also can you try clearing you cache in your browser and try again.

I said it’s not executing for the main page. I got here by clicking on a link in an email. the sub-forums seem to work but the main page doesnt if you link to it from the ‘GTO forum index’ link or the gtouk logo…
however if i go straighht to http://www.gtouk.org.uk/phpBB2/ it works…
Paul.
The main page is html? not a .php so nothing to execute.
I can see main page fine here, I’m trying to work out what it can be!
What URL you using for main site?
As I suggested to OZZIE try clearing your cache and try again, just to make sure.
I got here as well via an e-mail link as Paul did but if i try to come out of this section and say open up in the lounge-the same “file download” appears

Well according to the file download box it is trying to run index.php. When I say main page I mean main phpbb page.
I’m going to www.gtouk.org.uk and clicking on forum.
Cheers,
Paul.
Everything so far seems to be working for me
The only problem I have found is I can’t access the gallery from the home page and it comes up with this web address http://www.gtouk.org.uk/gallery2/main.php
and “ERROR 404
This page does not exist sorry.
Click here to return to GTOUK”
But not really sure if it worked before
The forum seems to be working better that before the down time (for me anyway). I’ve now managed to sort out my avatar
If any of you guys are still having problems try pressing the refresh button or clearing your cache. Also try updating the links you’re using to access the forum
It must either be a local cache or your ISPs cache, as I don’t have an issue at work or home.
Fixed the link to the gallery on main page.
Click http://kb.iu.edu/data/ahic.html to see how to clear your browser cache.
