no mate 3 engine rebuilds, a snapped cambelt and blown turbos is enough for me, i am fianlly enjoying gto ownership now just on my 5th year!!
i just use it on a sunday to go to get some bacon and a paper.
mine is sounding very quiet and i was a little surprised to hear some of the engines at the last meet, mine sounds sweet as a nut and thats how i want to keep it. i would rather put summat on the track that has some warranty, im yorkshire remember!!
yeah thats why im bringing it, i aint coming in the gto to keep up with you all, i want some rear end action, never usually get any, if i bring the mini some of you guys may be a little suprised, its already in bmw garage though as we have had a technical hitch with it, got a convertible mini at moment. not good them, aint going round in that with my wig on.
Just watch you don’t get carried away with the back-end though Neil. Last time we were there, they told us they would be kicking repeat sliders off the track - they don’t do “drifting” :lol:.

Don’t know about this one Neil, but when I booked the last one, I had to give Make & Reg No. of car at the time of booking, so you may not be able to leave it to the day to decide.
Might be worth asking on the phone if you can amend it when you get there if you decide to swap cars on the day.

Will see how funds are at the end of next week and might see if there is a place available. My car should drive like a wet dream after all the work coming.
I’m about 75% on this now unfortunately. I’ve got a big 6 week long job to look after in March, which starts on the 3rd. Sorting the odd bit of time off wouldn’t normally be a problem, but I’ve also just found out that my brother is home from the Gulf for a fortnight R&R at the beginning of March aswell, so time off is really being pushed to a premium!
I’ll see what happens, at the moment it’s looking fairly likely, but just to warn you I may not be able to make this.
I have had to duck out of this I’m afraid due to a number of factors, mainly time of work, family commitments and a non-running GTO.
I have taken a 90% refund from the organisers, and if you require any funds towards the cost of the garage, let me know. I’ll either square you up with cash, or I’ll pay for the garage at the next session.
