I’m pretty sure that it’s a Legal Requirement for the operator of a ‘Pay For’ car park has to display the correct signage and prices, if you weren’t told, how do they expect you to know!
Only those booking in with a room were asked to put their registration in the system, anyone else simply attending a meeting would have quite rightly just walked in.
It sounds to me there are good grounds for an appeal here.

To be honest I haven’t seen any signs on the letter says they are clearly displayed etc.
Then if I did not pay why does the gate let me out!
It let’s you out so they can fine you.

I am very sorry to hear that there were some car registrations that were not captured during the delegates stay with us. There are a number of signs in the car park indicating that it is monitored by parkin eye and that it is a chargeable car park however this is complimentary for delegates.
Number plates are usually collected at reception when delegates arrive and the events team should also mention this when greeting the organiser so I do apologise that with was not the case for these delegates.
Please can I ask for the PCN number on the fines, along with the registration numbers and I can arrange for the fines to be cancelled.
If you need anything else then please let me know and I look forward to working with you in the future.

Parking Eye are an extremely aggressive company and their CEO has loads of Liens against him. He’s a shyster and keeps changing who is the boss of the company to throw people off taking him to court. He runs a daylight robbery company. I’ll probably get one as well as I never gave my reg in at the desk, the signage is very poor there and no one knew whether we had to pay for car parking or not.

We do think the signage could be improved and the fact that you can just drive into the car park, walk into the hotel etc etc the just walk out and drive away with no one at the hotel asking or saying anything!
Or maybe when you leave the barrier should stay down and you have to confirm via the intercom you either stayed at the hotel or a meeting delegate before they raise the barrier.
Any ways as soon as I have the info I will send it.

Questions have to be asked here as Parkingeye are a dubious company anyway. How did they get your vehicle information because under the Data Protection Act, your information is private between you and the DVLA. A classic case of the DVLA selling your data.

Very well done to our lovely lady Tracie for sorting these PCNs out for the boys. Yes, there may well be parking signs scattered around the car parking areas of the hotel, but to be quite honest, I didn’t see them. Standard trickery by the management company as usual.
Someone mentioned, when I arrived, that I’d need to talk to the Reception people about my short term “day” parking. I was informed that I had to list myself on their system as a “visiting delegate” or words similar to that, and I was then prompted to enter my registration. This all worked out fine, however I agree that next time, in 2 years’ time, we are forwarned about the parking setup.
