Good morning to:- George1; JoeB; Jerry GTO_Power1; Colin; Mick J; Artur; Marty; Daniel; James; Jensen; and Robert.
I am posting your Santa Pod Jap Show tickets off to you this morning, by 1st Class post.
In the envelope containing the ticket, there will also be a map, and a slightly cut down GTOUK flyer.
The map will show a yellow dot, which is the BP filling station at the junction of the A509 and the A428. The post code for this filling station is MK46 4JQ. It is just about 2 miles south of Bozeat.
For those of you whoād like to form up and make it from there to Santa Pod in a group of these cracking cars, it would be great to join you at this filling station. I cannot personally get to the filling station before 0945 due to overnight child minding duties much further away. If you can make it to the filling station for then, that would be great. I would suggest we wait for any others who want to join us until 10.00 before heading off to SP.
I have included the cut down flyer because I thought it would be neat to display that on the inside of our screens for the day, and this would add to the smart presentation of our cars and the Club. (Jensen, you may be excused flyer if youāre in your FTO, but what the hell, put it on anyway, eh!)
On the map, youāll also see blue and red dots around, or through, Bozeat. The blue route is the Highways Agency posted signs to SP, the red dots are the way that Iāve done it in all the years. Both eventually converge onto the long Harrold Road, on the way to Hinwick and then SP.
I will be talking to the people at SP tomorrow to clarify the procedure for getting our cars around to the Pit Side of the strip for the Club allocated stand, and will keep you all posted about that.
Please feel free to make your own way to SP if you want to. But it would be nice to turn up in styleā¦
Letās hope for some decent weather on the 15thā¦
Terence, I might have one ticket available. Get your car ready, or else.
Circumstances may prevent my good lady, Barbara, from joining me at this event. We both have tickets. Iāll keep you posted.
A quick follow-up on this. Santa Pod have yet to post out the Club Stand Passes, which are in effect mini coat hanger thingies you attach to your rear view mirror. Once they are received, Iāll post them on to you.
Lots of goodies through yer letterboxesā¦
Also, not known just yet where theyāll put us. Weāll find out a bit nearer to the event.
my mom used to call me that when I was a kid, like about 4 years ago, coz thatās when she left us. Annnnd, Mike spelt it correctly, you didnāt, doh!!!
Cannot make that day as some family sh.t is happening that weekend.
Ok then, my postman has just dropped 12 Club Stand passes through my letterbox, and very nice they are tooā¦
First thing, Iāll post each of these to you by 1st class mail, so youāve got them at least.
Any further news regarding meeting up beforehand for an orderly, and stately, cruise into Santa Pod, Iāll let you all know on Friday.
Will be great to see you all, and no doubt the meeting will embrace some amazing cars of all makes.
Fingers crossed with the weather.
Great job organising this Mike, much goes off behind the scenes for an event and you are certainly on the ball organising and communicating to memebers, so Well Done to you.
This started with the enthusiasm of @JoeB and has grown into what is looking like a successful day.
Weather is looking great, attendance is looking great, think it should be our best event since lockdown .
